Background

Valentine Roofing is a roofing company based in Renton, WA with locations in Seattle, the East Side and surrounding area. Valentine Roofing had worked with another SEO firm without much success. They reached out to us to help build their online traffic, overall page rankings and to generate more website leads. Furthermore, they wanted to get better placement on the Google Places and Yahoo Local sections of the various major search engines.

Challenge

There were several locations to focus on which can make it more difficult to get progress on the local rankings. Furthermore, there were other competitors that had been receiving high ranks and had been established in business for a much longer period of time. Also, the website needed a lot of work in terms of optimizing for search engine crawlers.

Strategy

First we did an in-depth analysis of the website and updated the content, title and meta tags. Next we worked to update Valentine Roofing's profiles across dozens of local directories such as Yahoo Local, Google Places, Merchant Circle, Yelp, etc. We also wrote unique article content to be submitted across high value blog sites, engaged in social bookmarking and competitive link building.

Results

Within a few months, Valentine Roofing was able to rank in the number 1 position for several of their services. Furthermore, they really wanted better placement in the large Seattle market and began to see traction on their maps listings across this area. As a result, their website traffic increased significantly.
